एहि बिधि राउ मनहिं मन झाँखा। देखि कुभाँति कुमति मन माखा॥ भरतु कि राउर पूत न होंही। आनेहु मोल बेसाहि कि मोही॥ १ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
ehi bidhi rāu manahiṃ mana jhāṃkhā। dekhi kubhāṃti kumati mana mākhā॥ bharatu ki rāura pūta na hoṃhī। ānehu mola besāhi ki mohī॥ 1 ॥
Meaning
In this way the king was fretting inwardly. Seeing the king in such a state, the wicked-minded Kaikeyi grew deeply angry and said, 'Is Bharat not your son? Did you buy me for a price? Am I not your married wife?'
